The website will be an immersive digital storytelling experience that is so engaging that readers will dive deep, going far beyond the initial content that brought them to the page. This is the major difference between toddy and the neera.Palm wine is particularly common in parts of Africa, South India , Mayanmar and Mexico. The artist uses a bamboo or date palm stick pointed at one end with a bundle of fine hair attached to this pointed end to serve as the brush or pen. At Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), students from over hundred countries come together and create an intercultural environment. SCAD provides its students with a rich and multicultural environment to thrive. However, despite having access to different cultures, most students tend to socially connect with those from similar cultural backgrounds. The lack of motivation to socially interact with students from other cultures limits their opportunities for nurturing their social experiences that could consequently influence their collaboration and communication skills. PURPOSE The objective of this project is to offer SCAD students opportunities to enrich their social experiences by encouraging them to break free from the constrained social behavior (as described above). I aim to incorporate the key phases of Discovery, Definition, Ideation and Implementation in all the projects I undertake projects. In the discover phase, we diverged our knowledge through methods of data collection to attain a broader vision of otherwise problematic intercultural issues. After synthesizing the data we collected, we converged the information by processing and analyzing the data points to lead us to potential opportunities at the center of the process. In the develop phase, concepts were generated based on the opportunities found and pre-set design criteria. capacity for empathy by learning about different cultures on a daily basis in order to enrich their intercultural social experience? SUB QUESTIONS What is cultural diversity? What defines social experiences? What motivates people to embrace cultural diversity? How do people from different cultures interact? What defines our abilities to be social? &nbsp; METHODOLOGY The project was framed as a contextual research inquiry with an ethnographic lens (user-based project-driven qualitative study). The context was investigated through secondary and primary research activities. Secondary research helped us gain a deeper understanding of the system before we conducted primary field research. Insight 2:&nbsp;Accepting different cultures helps us learn new things. Insight 3: Being receptive and conscious of culture difference with respectful behaviors enhances mutual understanding of various cultures. Insight 4: Social networks shorten the distance between different cultures. Insight 5: More efforts can be made by the university to bring a sense of common identity between diverse students. Insight 6: Common origins and mutual interests bring people together naturally. The map below was created to visualize the impact of the opportunities upon intercultural students’ social experiences in terms of the value for each opportunity. Hence, the intercultural social experience was mapped at the core of the opportunity map and surrounded by eleven interrelating reciprocal opportunities. Social networks, communal activities and SCAD resources were identified as channels for exchanging intercultural experience that influence students’ attitudes, behaviors and learning. Enhanced learning and improved attitude enrich student experiences and influence students’ levels of awareness, empathy and personal and professional relationships. All the opportunities were found to be interlinked and reciprocal. It was identified that any of them would eventually leverage the rest. The initial concepts provided solutions in various design forms ranging from designing a service to an activity and a product. After comparing each concept draft, a Five-point scale was used to score each of the five shortlisted concepts to identify deficiencies and enhance the concepts for testing. Under a brief overview of this spider map, we find that there is an opportunity to increase the movitational aspect for all the shortlisted concepts. These thoughtfully designed posters explore the authentic stories behind the Sikhs' Pagdi, Hindus' Bindi, Native Americans' Chief's Headdress, and Muslim women's Hijab. By addressing misconceptions and celebrating the true essence of these adornments, I hope to promote cultural appreciation, respect, and understanding. In a world that is increasingly interconnected, it is crucial to embrace cultural diversity and promote cross-cultural respect. However, cultural appropriation continues to be a prevalent issue, often leading to the misrepresentation and disrespect of sacred symbols and traditions. The "Cultural Adornments Unveiled" project seeks to tackle this challenge by delving into the authentic narratives and histories associated with these adornments, fostering a more inclusive and empathetic society. The Sikh Pagdi, an integral part of their identity, is often misunderstood or misrepresented, perpetuating misconceptions about its significance. Through this poster, I’ve aimed to educate viewers about the Pagdi's deep-rooted cultural importance, celebrating the Sikh community's pride and heritage while dispelling any misunderstandings. The Hindu Bindi, a beautiful symbol of spirituality, is sometimes trivialized or used as a fashion statement without an understanding of its cultural significance. The poster endeavors to enlighten viewers about the Bindi's history and meaning, encouraging respect for its sacred purpose and the cultural values it represents. The Native American Chief's Headdress, a revered symbol of leadership, has regrettably been reduced to a costume accessory in various contexts. By exploring its true historical and ceremonial value, this poster advocates for the preservation of Native American culture and a more respectful approach to its sacred symbols. The Muslim women's Hijab remains a subject of controversy and misunderstanding, with diverse opinions surrounding its significance. Through this poster, I seek to facilitate an informed and respectful conversation about the Hijab, acknowledging the autonomy of Muslim women while promoting empathy and understanding across differing perspectives. Nestech The objective of this project was to research a given market and find an opportunity for design in that segment. Our team which consisted of avid travellers was excited to explore the possibilities and scope of work in the camping and travelling gear segment. The market research for camping equipments showed limited number of designs that incorporated collapsibility, ergonomics and portability along with multiple equipments and sustainability. The target was to design a sustainable product that can organize essential equipments for cooking and also contain media portability in the wild. The design should consider sustainable materials while designing the product for the safety of our environment. NESTECH, is designed to include a cooking pot with a lid, frying pan with collapsible handle, grill with collapsible legs, a serving/storage dish with an air-tight lid, three eating plates, four containers with air-tight lids, two stools with collapsible and foldable legs.
